Historic buildings carry weight. Not just structurally, in memory, in neighbourhood identity, in the expectations of the people who live around them. Reimagining one requires a brand that respects what came before while making a credible case for what comes next.

Pine Plaza was that project. A historically protected building being repositioned as a modern residential address, with Scandinavian-inspired architecture, sustainability at its core, and a genuine commitment to community living. The brief was to build an identity worthy of all three.

Pine Plaza visual identity

We developed a visual system rooted in restraint. A clean, minimal wordmark. A natural palette drawn from the building's materials and surroundings, warm without being soft, considered without being cold. Typography that felt timeless rather than trendy. Stationery and web design built around the same logic: nothing decorative, everything purposeful.

The work was complete. The concept was strong. The project was cancelled before it launched, not because of the work, but because of decisions made far above it.

It happens. The identity still stands.
